    frustrated

    I am new to windows 7. I recently upgraded from windows vista. I have a gateway computer which is awesome and worked really well up until a week or so after I upgraded my windows, not sure if it the issue but I have tried many things... here is the problem;
    I have a 22.5 inch monitor and everything WAS sized correctly to fit the screen, but the other day after being away all weekend and the computer wasn't on, I come home turn it on and WOW! everything was very very very small...web pages(everytime I open a new site it is all bunched in the middle, i have to manually make it bigger with my scroll button and the ctrl key and that even makes it a bit fuzzy), icons, fonts, and my e-mail program (incredimail) went very small as in fonts and the layout...I checked to make sure the resolution is set correctly, it is....I have gone onto gateway for online help...no luck there.
    I am sure what else I can try that I haven't already... does anyone have any idea what I can do to fix this?? I am getting very frustrated.... I should mention I am running firefox

    Bottom of the screen, above the clock, set the % that you want. It will give larger or smaller screen size. Do when in IE.

    Mine is set to 140%, I have a large screen.

    I tried that too, the thing is, it has the correct settings....so it is telling me.
    Is it possible that it is a driver issue? or I wonder if firefox isn't compatible with windows 7... grasping at straws here...LOL Thank you for all your help.

    Lets see how big a problem you have. Use IE and see what happens. It could be many things, driver, card, virus. Try it with IE. Let me know.

    Glad to be of help Canadiangal.

    In the USA, every computer comes with IE. There was a problem in England and there may be a choice now. Lets assume you are like the USA. Go to search and type in Internet explorer. If it come up, click on it. If does not come up, I will give you the next step.

    Your mail can be affected, too.
