unable to import Vista email addies

Hello, Group; I'm new here. Just got a terrific new lappy with Win 7. My old lappy crashed and for my email addies all I have is a folder (now on the desktop) with all my 800+ addies; each is a "contact file" and it was not exported from Vista as CSV nor WAB.

Can somebody please tell me how to get them into Windows Live Mail?

    THANKS.

if you have office outlook you can import the contact files one by one then export the CVS when your done then import the CVS into live mail

I sure prefer Outlook Express over Windows Live Mail and over Windows Mail. Am messing with Thunderbird but having some difficulties.

Hmmm; another browser I do not need; got two now. If I could just get these addies into WLM, I'd be fairly happy. Seems like every time I turn around I need to install one more thing. At this rate my 500Gb drive will soon be full.

I'm afraid your gonna be stuck entering them manually everything is geared to import them after they were exported from previous mail client I just went through this for a client but I did import the contact files one by one into outlook then export to CVS to import into live mail

I will keep looking around for another way but like I said I gave up on Live Mail due to stuff like this they just ruined it they should have left well enough alone with outlook express a lot of my customers are mad about it as well
