Goodaye was just wondering why my edit tab has select all greyed out when I delete my sent items folder it has to be done by holding Ctrl and clicking all messages individually with mouse is this normal behaviour cause in outlook express I had option to select all no big deal just curious and being an extremly lazy person I always want the easiest and quickest way to do things

Cheers to everyone on this forums I hav'nt posted before but I read a lot and a lot of questions and answers have helped me when my pc has had a hissy fit so thanks to all who contribute

Welcome,

I do not have the answer to your question, I do not have that problem. When I delete many emails, I hold the shift key, and arrow down then right click and delete. I can delete as many as I want at any time, without using edit.

Thanks for answering, your way works for me so thank you. As I said curious why select all is greyed out everything else working as it should just another mystery of the computer world.

First, ty for the rep and kind words. As to why it does not work, I cannot answer. Your email client is corrupted. When downloaded some corruption set in, which prohibts use in the normal manner. If it were a more serious problem which did not have an alternative solution, we could probably fix it. I could tell you to uninstall, save your emails and then install, again and that would probably work. I have given you the method that you could use to fix the problem, but I would not try. In fact, I normally use the method that I suggested that you use. In any event, I hope that you enjoy your OS, and all your mail brings good news.
