Windows 7: IE 8 Favorites Bars' icons

hi, the icons of the sites added to the Favorites Bar tend to disappear once in a while (my icons are not stored in the default Win location, I have moved them to a permanent location specifically as so they don't get deleted every time a clean up my computer) and I can't seem to find a workaround for that.
can anyone suggest a solution that does not involve third party software? there has to be a reason why in the Favorites menu the icons shos up but in the bar itself do not. Please see attached screenshot, thanks.

1 of settings in Ad Muncher stops the Fav Icons being changed to the sites from IE default.

I wonder if that was your initual problem.

as I said in my original post, I;m not interested in third party software, I want to know why this happens, besides, the problem is only with the icons in the favorites bar, not with all icons.

I never said you need use 3rd party App.

I thought it may have been possible you had used Ad-Muncher as its the best in its filed PERIOD and that's why your Fav Icons are messed up.
