Do you have the mailboxes sync? Or do you have it to keep a back-up copy of the mail on the original server (which is your GMAIL account).

Gmail never deletes when accessed from Outlook or other email clients. The only way to delete is to signon directly thru your browser and delete each email. The premise of Gmail is to never have to manage emails. That is why they give 8gb of storage.

In the Gmail settings you can chose to move emails to all mail folder after they have been viewed or leave them in the inbox.

    I tried it:
    Outlook Mail - Gmail Help
    Which means:

Even though I am connected to the Internet.

that link is to run google apps through outlook. I thought you just wanted to know why when you delete a message in outlook it stays in your gmail. This has been answered. What else do you need?
