This will be up for debate, but I suggest you try out Chrome. As for security, every browser has its security flaws. I'd say Chrome is fairly secure. I've used it since it first came out, haven't had many problems with it.

Google Chrome - Get a fast new browser. For PC, Mac, and Linux

Most in the know may suggest that Chrome is the best, but with one major problem. Not compatible with a FEW websites.

This should solve that problem for those few sites. :)

The only site I sometimes have to switch from chrome to ie for is microsoft and that's usually when I want to download something, other than that I can't recall having problems rendering the pages on any of the sites I frequent.

i would say Chrome is the fastest, but far from best looking. I feel like I'm back in 1995 when using it. IE8 with it's compatibility mode seems to be really good all around. ALthough I do like Firefox's auto cleanup on exit.

Bottom line, everyone is just giving an opinion. You really have to use and choose for yourself.

    Google chrome for speed
IE8 for speed/security although chrome is going to be the fastest....
    I've tried them all

Chrome for speed which is probably what the majority here will say.
