Everytime i cant connect i get redirected to a web host

    Hi Guys,

Im having a problem where when I try and connect to a website that isnt available instead of getting the standard windows error saying a timout error occurred or whatever im not being redirected a hosting provider (who i installed their java applet a few weeks ago).

Its happening on all browsers even chrome even though i downloaded this after i installed the app which makes me think something has changed in the registry or something?

Any help much appreciated i hate being redirected to a web hosting provider...

    Cheers,
    Pete

Welcome, I think it may be malware. Download and try this. In addition perform an antivirus scan.

    Malwarebytes.org

If you find any malware, etc, remove them.

    Eihter way report back.

You were tricked. In other words, "hijacked" and you are now infected with malware.

Flush your DNS cache and restore the original Hosts file:

Copy and paste these lines in Note pad.
    @Echo on
    pushd\windows\system32\drivers\etc
    attrib -h -s -r hosts
    echo 127.0.0.1 localhost>HOSTS
    attrib +r +h +s hosts
    popd
    ipconfig /release
    ipconfig /renew
    ipconfig /flushdns
    netsh winsock reset all
    netsh int ip reset all
    shutdown -r -t 1
    del %0
Save as flush.bat to your desktop.
Right click on the flush.bat file, choose to run as Administrator.
