HELP with Adobe Flash Player

of course I am new to windows 7. my problem now seems to be I can't watch any movie trailers or news videos because it says I need adobe flash player which when I go to download it,it says I can't because it isn't compatible with windows 7..they have a new beta download and I tried that but still nothing..so where do I go from here?? also when I try to go on pogo to play games it says I don't have java but it IS installed and turned on(sigh) why change a good thing?? xp worked a lot better I think!

Flash In Internet Explorer 8 64 bit is not available

You can download and install Flash Player here:
http://www.adobe.com/go/getflash

You must use flash with 32 bit IE

Hello daftdeb, welcome to Seven Forums!

I don't mean to correct you but when I went to that pogo (purely as an experiment for you) it said I didn't have Java installed so I followed the links provided and downloaded and then installed Java to my machine and in less than 3 minutes I was playing different games from them so it can't be Windows 7, are you sure you actually have Java installed on your PC?

PS. Now I'm going to logoff and use the restore point I created to remove Java.

Update

BTW, the security certificate has been revoked for that pogo site, I got this after I installed Java; (but I've removed Java now).

well Pogo had a test that said my java was installed and working but when I went to the games it said it wasn't installed..I got on with tech support and she told me to dl firefox browser which actually solved all the above problems,,if I open firefox I can get the news clips and watch trailers and play games in pogo..if I try those things with IE they still don't work..and the tech checked to make sure my java was on in IE so it's all very weird and somehome browser related,,though I used this version of IE with xp and had no troubles..I guess using firefox when I want to do those things isn't such a big deal. Thanks for all your suggestions..though they didn't work lol

Might also reset IE, and try downloading flash and pogo site again.

Internet Explorer - Reset

Could also turn off protected mode in IE to test. Restart the browser, and see if it does anything.
