    IE problems....

    Hi everyone,

Im having a lil problem, after having IE open for an amount of time i close it down to find that NONE of my desktop icons work and the only way to get to my taskmanager is from the icon bar or start menu...

After opening task manager i can see theres multiple iexplorers running......after ending process on them i can use my desktop icons again!

Not sure whats really goin on tbh...

Any help from this would be great!!

    Thanks! Martin.

Try in safe mode to see if problem is still present. That will give us informtion to start with.

    Hello Martin Welcome to SF,

I guess it might the add-ons that is messing up.
Go to Start type in "iexplore -extoff"
and hit enter see whether you have the same problem there !! IF not it should the add-ons just go to Tools > Manage Add-ons and enable one by one to find who is causing it.

    Hope this helps,
    Captain

    Hello Martin,

You might have a misbehaving IE add-on that could be causing this. As a test, reset IE8 to default to see if that may help. If it does, then you can enable your add-ons one at a time to see which one may have been the cause.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
