Just downloaded after a prompt from FF update and no problems whatsoever to report. Did not ask for a reboot, never has done so, merely a close and then reopen of all FF windows

Same update. Wonder why mine says 1970
Don't panic, you're not alone, it's just the space-time continuum breaking down, I received a spam email sent in 1976 the other day.

I just decided to check and see if I had forgotten seeing an upgrade yesterday... It is downloading now on its own. I have it set to automatically update.

Here's the reason my update is dated 1970...

The updater wasn't able to retrieve the date from the OS and used 0 (zero) instead.
Firefox uses the Unix EPOCH that starts with Jan 1, 1970 and that date is corrected for the time zone.

Hmm, interesting. The Beginning of Time as per UNIX. I was born 8 years post the UNIX EPOCH.
