IE Icon appears on html files when Firefox is default?

    Hey all

Wondered if you could help, I'm running Windows 7 32-bit Ultimate and for some reason any .html files I have on my PC are showing the Internet Explorer icon even though I have Mozilla Firefox set as my default browser, it's a bit annoying, not a huge big deal obviously but it is still irritating, how can I change the .htm / .html icon to the firefox one?

By the way, I have tried right clicking and going to "open with" and choosing firefox and ticking the box "always open with...." and it makes no difference.

    Thanks in advance :)

    Hello Simcut,

Double check in Default Programs to make sure that the .htm and .html file extensions are set to have their "Current Default" program as Firefox as well.

    Hope this helps,

    Hi

Yes, the default programs for .htm and .html are set to Firefox in the 'Default Programs' section.

Umm, strange. You could also manually change the icon used for the .htm and .html file extensions to use the Firefox icon instead.
