fullscreen firefox, no toolbars or status bar?

What unfortunate combination of keystrokes causes firefox to go fullscreen mode, without the top menu bars or bottom status bar, and far more importantly, how does one get it back to the way it should be, without having to restart the browser?

Press the F11 key. It toggles full screen on and off.

Ah, F11, thank you so very much. That has always annoyed the heck out of me, and I think my cat REALLY must like that F11 key. . .
