Firefox reports a crash after every close ??

    I am using 2 windows 7 Ultimate, 7077 rigs

On both computers, firefox 3.0.9 shoots a crash dialog after everytime I close it (or most times..)

Both firefoxes are addon free, all stock.

Please if anyone has a solution for my problem it would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks

You may have an 'extension' that is causing the problem, such as your antivirus, or something else.

All clear, Both firefoxes are addon free, all stock... I am using Bitdefender Antivirus, didn't have that problem in vista with the same setup.

    Thanks though..

I have the same thing. It doesn't seem troublesome though. I might just reinstall FF or something.

Thanks for the link, but it didn't solve the problem
I am using FF 3.0.0.9, is there any reason why not use the 3.5 ? Is it just as safe ?

    Any other solution ?

If you haven't purchase BitDefender, uninstall it, then download Avira Antivirus
Avira AntiVir Personal - FREE Antivirus

See if Firefox crashes now. BTW, I have Avira (Premium Security Suite) and FF3.09 . Firefox doesn't crash upon closing, when I use it.

Nice observation Jacee ! I uninstalled BD and now FF is running smooth.
I paid for it though, and I really like it, so before I put that avira, will it help to right install it in Vista SP2 compatability mode or is it a waste of time ?

    Thanks !

You'll just have to see if it works that way. I honestly don't know :)
