IE8 pop up window

Hi everyone, I have a hp compaq win 7 64 4 months old. Some one LOL wants me to upgrade to IE 8. After reading up on it and seeing problems I have my doubts, so for now I'll just keep what I have. Now I ask, how do I get rid of the I E 8 pop up that I get all the time trying to get me to upgrade.

Thanks
Conrad

There should be an option to turn it off, but knowing MS, there probably isn't.

I don't use it, so I don't know.
And doesn't Seven come with IE 8?

Yes, Windows 7 comes with IE 8.... the 'pop-up' window wants you to enhance, or get more features --> using Internet Explorer.

I use IE 8, but to tell you the truth, this is extremely annoying and totally unnecessary!

I enhansed the I8 and was getting a lot of advertishing on top of page. So I went back to the original I8. I would like to either stop the popup or the advertishing. Any help would be appreciated.

Adding 'open in new window' to search results, & opening in new window
Whenever I search in W7, I want to have the ability to open found folders in a new window. If I r-click, that option is not there. Is there a way to add this to W7? Also: When I go to 'open file location', the file's folder opens in the same window - highly annoying. In Vista, it opens in a new...
