Problem with google.

    Tools>internet options>security. Is it blocked?

    Put it in the trusted zone.

    Try with Anti Virus off

    And you can still get to other sites? right..

    Also try using another DNS Server

    Hallo Copson, If you go into your CONTROL PANEL / NETWORK & SHARING CENTER / CHANGE ADAPTER SETTINGS then right click on the connection you use then select PROPERTIES then NETWORKING select (TCP/IPv4) then PROPERTIES and check Obtain DNS Server is set to Automatic.

    I had exactly what you described happen to me when i changed to an Open DNS address, when i set it back to set DNS automatically the problem was gone.

    It may be because the Open DNS address i used is in the USA and i am in New Zealand i have not worked that one out yet

    Just an update. the problem was solved. The problem had to do with the host files.... everything A Okay
