Windows 7: Can not download mail in ms outlook from linux server

Hi, can someone please help, got a new laptop with win 7 i installed ms outlook 2007 but i can not download my mails from a linux pop3 server. i can only send mail out, i then tried to down grade to ms outlook 2003 but am still having the same problem.
could please assit

If you can get mail but not send it, it sounds like a configuration problem. Are you sure the servers settings are correct in the pc? You could have an extra space or something.

kindly check the configuration like zigzag say.
maybe there is something on POP3 that's can't download it.

hi, i'm running fedora 3 v1.3. we have 30 PC's using the same server win xp & vista but none of them had the same problem. i have have check all the setting on the PC & they are fine. my incoming is 192.168.0.1 and so is the outgoing, thats why its making sense to me.

when you down grade and using outlook 2003, start from setting the pop3 incoming and outgoing mail server, test setting on it. and see that incoming and outgoing completed.
