    outlook express

    Running win 7
loaded outlook express and all seems to work except no wab.dll loads and some how it keeps looking for wab.dll

    did I load it incorrectly?

Its an old version of MS office. Every thing works,,IE Word and Excel

    1) Is it Office 2000 that you are using? In that case, this error occurs because of a compatibility issue between Outlook and your OS. To fix this, copy the wab.dll file from your system folder to your system32 folder:
    1. Browse to C:\Windows\System on your PC
    2. Locate the wab32.dll and wab32res.dll files
    3. Copy both files to your clipboard
    4. Paste both files into your C:\Windows\System32 folder
    5. Click Start > Run
    6. Type “cmd” in the box without quotes.
    7. In the window that appears, type the following comands and hit Enter after each:
    regsvr32 wab32.dll

    regsvr32 wab32res.dll

    2) If nothing works, try reinstalling OE or switch to Windows live Mail, its pretty nifty.

Outlook Express is not designed for Win7. Are you in XP mode?
Or are you taking about Outlook in your old Office?

    Thanks for replies..

Not in XP mode.. my version does not support it..
    (another great microsoft option)
It is from office 2000 and I prefer not to use Windows live mail.

Did a search from win 7 and I find no wab32.dll files

I'm also a bit confused. You mean Outlook not Outlook Express right?
