Windows 7 and Windows Live Mail Spell Check

I have my email spell checked before sending. Using Windows 7 and Windows Live Mail I noticed that it also checks the spelling in the To/Cc/Bcc and Subject line. In XP/Vista it did not do that. Is there a way to have it only spell check the text of an email?

What happens if you put your cursor on the first word in the body of the text?

Glad that I could help. Feel free to return with other questions or to share your own expertise; either will be very welcome.

Richard!l thought that on Windows 7 Prof the e-mail program l am using which is Windows Live Mail not Hot mail did not have a spell check although l do get a red line under any word which looks like it is mis-spelled.Trouble is l am in Australia and we use the Queen's English.l knew how to change it in Vista but for the life of me l cannot find any spell check on this e-mail program.Changing baack to Windows Mail which l loved will cause problems so am not going to try and Yes l have looked at Thunderbird and decided against it.Guess l will just have to stick with what l am using until l learn more how to download a free spell check for Windows Live Mail on Win 7.Will not use Incredimail as had issues with that when l had Vista. If you know of a free word spell program l cana download would be much appreciated. Its only the text that worry me as using the e-mail with Win 7 is easy except for the word spell plus no icon for printing an e-mail.Schnauzer

    Welcome Schnauzer,

    Try this

Tools>options>spelling. Then check the boxes that you like.

    Hope it works.

I read your comments that came with your rep. Since, you already tried the method that I provided, here is a spell check.

Always make a system restore point first.

I like this one but it has a drawback that you must correct first time you are notifed. Cannot go back after email is done.
