Auto reply , please help???

Hi, I work in outlook and go away a lot from my house and then I cant read my mails but some people don't know that is there a way in outlook that I can make a auto reply when I am not at home like "will get back to you soon" or something???

Outlook Auto Reply

Go to help in outlook and type in "auto reply" there are several ways to do what you want. To extensive to post here.

You need the "Out of Office Assistant" under the Tools menu. In there you should be able to set up an "away" message and there's also an extensive rule system you can set up that'll only send it when certain conditions exist (i.e., from noon to 1pm while you're at lunch or on break, etc).

Hope that helps get you on the right track.

devolutionist you can only use the "out of office assistant" when connected to an exchange server

But Core pal have a looky here, maybe this might help a bit ....

Just one thing to add here - If you have the autoresponder option available at your mail server (eg Googlemail), you can set this up without the need to leave your PC switched on, whilst you are away

With googlemail you can set up an Autoresponder to reply to either all mail - or the better option, only to those mails from people in your contact list,(so the spammers do not get any reply
