Web page being redirected to mobile version

When I try to go to www.cnbc.com, it always ends up going to m.cnbc.com. How do I stop it from doing that? I've tried deleting all cookies but that hasn't fixed it. Suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I'm running windows 7 on a Sony Vaio laptop; VGN-FZ140E.

Do you have a creative sound card? It appears Creative autoupdate causes this issue in many cases. Try uninstalling it. Then do a regular and registry cleanup with CCleaner to get rid of any remnants.

Otherwise, generally speaking, the problem would be poor website coding which misinterprets your browser info as coming from a mobile device.

Guys, thanks much for the quick response but CCleaner didn't take care of the problem. I ran it, then went to www.cnbc.com and it took me to the mobile version so I reran CCleaner, checking everything except cleaning free space. After it was done, I shut down the computer and restarted it. No luck; I'm still taken to the CNBC mobile website.

My sound card's built into the motherboard and uses a Sigma Tel High Definition CODEC driver so I doubt that it's from Creative.

I'll run a registry cleaner and see if that helps.

Edit: I downloaded Eusing Registry Cleaner and ran that. No luck. I still go to the mobile version of CNBC. I used to go to the normal website, but I'm going to guess that one of the Windows updates changed something that makes CNBC recognize my computer as a mobile device.

Any else got any ideas?
