Backgrounds and Some Pictures Not Showing Up.

Hey, I just got my laptop a few days ago and everyhting was working fine untill yesterday. I was surfing the internet when I clicked next page, when the Page loaded there was text but no backgrounds/flash. I was using Firefox so I closed it out and restarted my computer. The problem still existed with Firefox so I booted up Windows Explorer 8 and the backgrounds and pictures didn't show up on any webpages either. Is there any way to fix this? I have included pictures of Google and Xfire to show exactly what is happening.

Firefox has a setting that let's you choose the page's text and background color settings.

1)At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Tools menu, and select Options.

    2)Select the Content tab.

    3) In Fonts and Colors section, click the Colors button.

4)Make sure the checkbox beside Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above is checked.

    5)Click OK.

    6)Click OK.

    Try it now. A Guy

The box was already checked, so it couldn't be that. Both of the explorers worked right and started to do this at the same time, if that helps?

Sorry, I was "mutitasking" (chewing gum and typing) when I read your 1st post. Does this happen on every web page? have you tried a system restore to before this began? A Guy

I havn't done a system restore on this computer yet, I've had it since the 27th
I have also checked to see if I could system restore before the time this happened but there are no system restore points before this.

I have gone through the entire troubleshoot and checked my firewall's and setting, and still cannot load up most pictures/backgrounds on my computer, thanks for the link though.

I've just found out that The "RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin " extension can also cause images to disappear. Try to disable that add-on if you have it installed.

    feel free to ask:)

I do not have the Real Time player installed, and I have already tried disabling all of my add on's. Im thinking maybe Re-installing Windows 7 may solve this, can I do this without losing all of my documents?
