I am running Windows 7, 64 bit and Adobe Flash 10 is only suitable for 32 bit systems apparently, therefore I am unable to download and this has thrown my computer into total confusion. Is anyone able to tell me (in non techie language, as I am an old 'un) what I should do to overcome the problem?
Actually flash will work on 64 bit systems, you just have to use the 32 bit browser and not the 64 bit browser.
adobe flash player isn't supported in 64bits,however they are on the way to release it for native 64 in version 10.1

Adobe haven't produced a x64 version of Flash Player yet and everyone is waiting for it so they can run x64 browsers.
However the 32 bit player works in x64 as a 32 bit application.
I have W7x64 and flash runs fine in youtube, in this forum and in my 32 bit browser (Chrome&Firefox)

Thanks everyone - I just don't have a clue how I can make my browser 32 bit. I'm afraid I am totally non-tech so I need each bit of detail to change. Is there any hope for me or should I give up now?????????????
64 bit windows comes with 2 browsers, the one that doesn't say 64 bit on it is 32 bit. Use that one to install flash Adobe - Adobe Flash Player
adobe's development manager has maintained that they are committed to produce a 64 bit flash for windows at some indeterminate future date. their internal systems show that the project has not as yet been assigned a priority, not budgeted, no start date or project schedule, no nothing except the statement that they 'are committed to....' whenever you ask, and they can be pushed into saying that not enough people have requested a 64 bit flash for windows as of yet.

note the comment in one of the posts there by emmy huang (the adobe manager in charge) leads to a place you can vote for the feature. as you can see from my posts there i also am trying to get somebody at adobe to actually make an attempt to start doing something positive. so far it is the mushroom treatment, keep us in the dark and feed us bullpoo.
