    A fellow named brink gave instructuons on how to create a signature in Vista
    does anyone have a clear link to creating html signatures for Windows live mail in Windows 7

    I just found your post. Thanks! Never would have figured this out from the help file. BTW, the author says his instructions were updated and placed in a video: Email Signature With Image In Windows Live Mail | PCMech

    It was the video that finally explained the process so that I could understand it and make it work. I would never have guess that you had to link back to the original jpg file.
