Some webpages open full screen in IE8

Why is it that some webpages, whether from the internet or some htm or html from my hard drive open full screen? I have one file, favestogo.htm which just won't open at a normal size, it just has to open full screen. I have a wide screen monitor and it just annoys me when I have to resize...reach down on the right bottom edge of the screen, and if you go too slow or too far then the taskbar pops up, rats!

I have checked the properties of the file itself and there is no option to open it, whether normal, full size or whatever else.

Does anyone know how to put a leash on this rebel page?

    thank you.

There is an old trick that can work. Manually resize the window (drag the edges to size you want), then when closing using the X in upper right, hold down the Ctrl key while clicking the X. It actually sounds like your issue is window opening larger than fullscreen? A Guy

    A Guy:
The manual resize-ctrl-x works but not with this one htm page, which is stored on my hard drive. It just insists on taking the whole screen for itself. I have to resize from bottom right, across the screen. A real drag.

    oh, well. One day...
