    Opera 10.54 released

Not sure if it's been mentioned elsewhere, but it has.

Opera Web Browser | Faster & safer | Download the new Internet browsers free

       Note
Opera 10.54 for Windows is a recommended security upgrade. Opera highly recommends all users to upgrade to this version to take advantage of these improvements.

Still no Linux 10.5x though. 10.60 snapshots are stable enough for daily use on Windows and Linux.

I suspect they are probably going to just bypass the 10.5x for Linux and jump straight to 10.6

I've got one the 10.6 snapshots on one my installations (or a VM - can't remember where it is ATM ) but it's definitely a lot more stable than any of the 10.5x snapshots were.

You dont actually need to download a portable version.

Since version 10.5x, Opera can be a portable by editing operaprefs_default.ini.

    This is the default setting.
    [System]
Multi User=1 ; If enabled Opera will use Windows profiles to store individual user settings
    Change it to
    [System]
Multi User=0 ; If enabled Opera will use Windows profiles to store individual user settings
And now you have a portable version...
