    W 7 Live Essentials email

My XP puter went down so I need to configure an email account on my W7 puter.
I downloaded live essentials, installed only the email app. I configured for my ISP mail server, as in my XP puter, but no connect. I get a failure.
Any pointers? and not interested in software suggestions just how to connect to my isp email account.
    TY

We can't help if you don't tell us basic information such as what email client you used on XP, what email service you use etc.

Please post this information and I will be more than happy to help.

If you're referring to Outlook Express, I believe the individual account setup for POP3 accounts is the same in WLM and should work. Maybe you forgot some minor detail specific to your ISP like the check boxes for "secure authentication" or advanced SSL setups.

    Wierd,
Get up today and I can send emails. Maybe the server itself was having issues.

    Hi, spyknee.

I'm glad the issues resolved without interaction by you. I have two suggestions,

    1) delete the image in your post above that contains your e-mail address.
    2) mark this topic solved -- just click on the red triangle and write solved in the message box.
