No! Or any other browser before you ask!
Welcome to Seven Forums sulkyns. As dunfiddlin answered in his ever friendly style...no you cannot, sorry. A Guy
Can we have your reason why youd want to disable it?
You can disable font smoothing:
1. Open Registry Editor.
2. Navigate through HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Control Panel and Desktop.
3. Set FontSmoothingType to 1.
4. Set FontSmoothing to 1.
5. Reboot.
Actually, clear type could be disabled in IE7 without affecting the rest of the system, using CSS filter. From IE8, that method doesnt work. AFAIK, theres nothing for Firefox either.
You can try increase the legibility of text using the win7 inbuilt Cleartype Tuner.

well i wanted to know the other way around. how do you enable cleartype in firefox? you know just like what IE8 have because the fonts in firefox is terrible. it looked like it hadn't eaten in days.
In response to pinoy question, not the Original Poster;
Hallo pinoy, Firefox fonts in Windows Seven by default should be ok.
What you describe was a common problem in XP which Microsoft created a Power Toy that would give you clear type fonts in XP as it is in Seven.
If by chance your question is related to XP, here is a link to the Power Toy;

If it is not and is related to Seven you may then have to play around with the fonts in Firefox under TOOLS / OPTIONS / CONTENT. Also have a look at the link in Bill2 post as Windows Seven has a built in Clear Type tuner.
This can be accessed from Control Panel / Personalization - then in bottom L.H. corner - Display / Adjust Clear Type Text

Hope this is of some help

Speaking of fonts.. lately there have been a ton of free fonts released on SoftPedia. Maybe elsewhere too but that's where I noticed it. Just browse the Windows section on Softpedia or search on fonts:
