Is there any way to add a brand new contact within an open e-mail?

I've been banging my head against the wall and I was hoping someone could help....

    I am using Windows 7 / Outlook 2010.

When you open a new email is there any way to add a brand new contact other than closing it and going to the contact screen and doing it from there. I even tried customizing the toolbar but I couldn't find the command anywhere. When you click on the "To" button it gives you a list of your contacts but yet again there is no way to add a new contact.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Welcome to the Seven Forums!

When you are in a new email, type the email address of the contact you wish to add into the To field. Then click in the message body to make Outlook verify the address (the address will become underlined when you do this). If that doesn't underline the address, you can try clicking into the To field again and hitting Tab. Right-click the underlined address, and click "Add to Outlook Contacts".

    Hope this helps!
