I need a good mail program...

With XP I've been using Outlook Express and I seriously miss it. Now I have Live Mail but I'm not very happy with it. For several reasons I have to keep the old mails and it got very slow when I imported them.

I've tried Thunderbird but can't make it work with my accounts. I'm not stupid, but if a simple thing like setting up multiple accounts just doesn't work whatever I do, then this program is not for me.

I also tried Outlook 2003 but I don't like the fact that it puts all the mails into one big file. When the .pst file reached a size of 1GB it got very slow.

Any other suggestions?

Incredimail does seem fun *g*. But it always puts in its signature, doesn't it? I need it for business correspondence too, so it should be able to look "serious".

Try Outlook 2007 or 2010. I use Outlook 2007 and have a PST that is 1.45GB in size. There is no issue with performance, especially when searching through mail.

I've been using TBird for several years now & haven't had any problems, but would like to try Outlook. I went to MS and all I could found was outlook comes with Office & I do not want Office. Can someone point me to a free Outlook.
