Java not working for FF,Chrome, Opera (32bits)

Hello,
Please help!

I recently upgraded to win 7 ultimate 64 bit and java is not working in chrome, firefox or opera... however Java IS working for IE 32 bit and 64 bits and Firefox 64 bits

so in chrome n ff 32bits java just doesnt load and im stuck in a blank page..what could it be?

I have tried all methods i can google but to no avail

nyckk, welcome to the forums.

When you installed Java, did you install both the 32 and 64 bit versions? Unless you are using the 64 bit versions of IE8 or Firefox, the 32 bit version of Java is all that is needed.

Hello, I've tried to install the latest Java, build jre-6u11 to enable me to view certain websites that use java. However, I get the following error message:- "opera-exe - System Error. This program can't start because MSVCR71.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program...

What should I use, Opera, FF or Chrome?
I am sure this question has posted before, but couldnt find it. I just installed the Disc I had for Win 7, but since I am not much of a fan of IE... I understand that FF is crashing too much :huh:... but how about Opera... what is your suggestion. Thanks to the community! l.
