I have had the last 3 versions of FireFox crash randomly on one of my XP computers.

    Just standard FF NO add-ons.

Try switching to Opera and see if you have any problems.

The partial update of 3.6.7. still worked fine for me, but when I tried the same with 3.6.8 the identical issue occurred as with 3.6.2 and 3.6.3: it would restart with an error message, and after the 2nd update attempt I got the famous "license file could not be found" error!! so I ended up manually uninstalling the pevious copy (since not even that worked out through CP anymore) and doing a "clean" reinstall.

If I hadn't gotten so damn used to FF (and kinda liked it's design) I would have long switched to Opera etc.. The times when FF started up much faster than IE are long gone, at least with my configuration. I have like 7 add-ons.... wow!!

Opera comes with a lot of features already integrated into the browser. There are also widgets that you can use. Not sure what Firefox extensions you have but if you are tired of Firefox's instability then give Opera a serious try. I have been using Opera for a week and will not look back. I completely uninstalled Firefox.
