    <Help> BSOD halmacpi.dll+ef3f and ntkrnlpa.exe


    As the tittle said i got BSOD lately on my laptop (ASUS A42JA VX077D) ,i got :

    intel i5 M460
    4GB RAM
    Windows 7 ultimate x86
    Ati Radeon HD 5730 2gb
    500gb HDD

    any solution will be appreciated

    Your .dmp file shows a stop error of 0x124 which is a general hardware error .

    A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint.

    Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress.

    so it is hardware fault?? can you tell which hardware is it?

    now im still trying to update some drivers, windows update, and testing memory and hard drive

    and sir, can you please check if there is a chance i can fix it with this bios updates at this sites:

    BIOS updates will sometimes help in this situation but Use with caution they may also render your system un-bootable. Be sure to have a copy of the old bios, a backup, and arestore point, just in case.

    I have no way of knowing if that is the correct update so check it on their site.
