Black Screen (BSOD) - does not recover from sleep mode

Problem: Computer doesn't recover from sleep mode and restarts (black screen -option screen - automatic start option selected ). After start up - Win7 displays dialog box
'Windows has recovered from unexpected shutdown'
    System spec:
Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 64-bit Operating System
    Original Installed OS on system
    OEM version
Age of system hardware - less than a year
Age of OS installation - less than a year
    (any assistance greatly appreciated)

Virtually identical and Related to atikmdag.sys ATI Radeon Kernel Mode Driver. I would re-install newest driver using this method.

When upgrading your graphic driver you MUST remove all traces of the current driver. In order to do that we recommend using

    Phyxion.net - Driver Sweeper

When it is removed then download and install the fresh copy.
