    BSOD playing Skyrim, now won't stop; error 1000007e

    My computer has been working fine for almost a year now, and the BSOD just started two days ago while playing Skyrim. I thought it was just Skyrim, so I stopped playing that and just left it for a while. Today, my computer got the BSOD during normal flash gaming, and then again 30 or so minutes later when I was trying to post here. I have no idea what's causing it, but I would really appreciate help!

    Info:

    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
    OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
    Locale ID: 1033

    Additional information about the problem:
    BCCode: 1000007e
    BCP1: FFFFFFFFC0000005
    BCP2: FFFFF88007CF32F4
    BCP3: FFFFF8800A17F788
    BCP4: FFFFF8800A17EFE0
    OS Version: 6_1_7601
    Service Pack: 1_0
    Product: 768_1

    Files that help describe the problem:
    C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\012412-25537-01.dmp
    C:\Users\Zack\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-60091-0.sysdata.xml

    Hello & welcome to our Forum.

    We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

    If you are overclocking STOP

    You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

    To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

    The procedure:
    * Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
    * Zip up the copy.
    * Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
    *If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.
    To ensure minidumps are enabled:
    * Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
    * Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
    * Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
    * Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
    * Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
    * OK your way out.
    * Reboot if changes have been made.

    Your crash was related to BCMWL664.SYS 802.11 Network Adapter wireless driver from Broadcom Corporation.

    Update to the latest version please.

    I'm in school currently, but it's almost over. When I get home and have access to some real internet I'll see if updating the driver helps, and post an update for it. Thanks for the help so far!

    EDIT:

    Quick question, how do I go about updating the driver? I don't have any money to pay for any type of automatic system driver updater, and I'm not exactly computer savvy. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Go to Broadcom.com the Company concerned.
    Search for the latest driver there. { refer the name in my post 4.}

    It is painless even on dialup. Go to Broadcom, download the driver (its small) and double-click to install it.

    The searches I make come up with nothing.
    "Your search - BCMWL664 - did not match any documents.
    No pages were found containing "BCMWL664"."
    I'm on "http://www.broadcom.com/"
    Am I doing something wrong?

    Well, I updated the driver using the link you provided. Heres to hoping it solved the problem! If it occurs again I'll post it. Thanks again for all your help!
