    BSOD 0x00000124

Well basically ever since I built this computer 2 years ago I've been receiving BSOD or crashing. I replaced my HDD through RMA. Thinking that fixed the issue, I didnt think much of it until later I received another BSOD. BSOD have been an ongoing thing for me for a few years on and off. Now I'm receiving error 0x00000124 and the message "The system has encountered and uncorrectable hardware error". I ran temperature tests for my cpu and my gpu and the fans are working properly. I've done multiple ram test using memtest86 and even windows memory diagnostic tool. Although I did get an error using memtest86 1 time, I was never able to recreate that error. I ran the test muiltiple nights and did each stick individually and used them two at a time since I have dual channel. All 8 sticks of rams are the same type. I've updated all my drivers and my bios. Now I'm not 100% sure if I set the bios correctly since I'm a bit of a newbie and I built it myself. But everything is at stock except the ram timings and voltage, I didnt change the speed because I didn't know how to and it was set to 1333mhz. The timings were 7,10,10,28 and a voltage of 1.660, the closest I could get to 1.65, but even before I change that from 1.500, there were bsod and crashes. The crashes or bsods seem to happen when I just wake up and get on my computer, I don't turn it off usually. It will happen randomly, I was suspicious it was when I just opened games or started broadcasting using x split. Then it will go away all day long until the next wake up. This will happen 3-5 times in a row or more.

    Welcome
BSod code 124 is the most difficult to solve. It is clearly a hardware issue, but which hardware. Memory may be the most common but there are many other potential causes:

Well I did all of the steps before or now, except reformatting, which I won't be doing. Anyways thanks for the reply! I'll just have to wait until I can afford a new pc. The problem is manageable for now.

It may be your RAM being downclocked causing this too. There should be timing and frequency setting in your BIOS somewhere under overclocking. IT runs at 1333MHz due to the CPU limitation and needs to be manually set to factory specs.

Alright well I raised my mhz on my ram to 1600 from 1333z, I hope there will be no over heating, we'll see if there's anymore bsods. I can't find stock settings for my ram

Got the same BSOD after setting the speed of my memory to 1600mhz. I got the same BSOD before I set the memory speeds, timings and voltage to what they were supposed to be. Is there any hardware that need to be set in the bios? I dont overclock, everything is at optimized defaults. Maybe it's just faulty hardware, was hoping for bios to be the issue, oh well. Maybe I'll just keep running more memtest 86 when I go to bed until it shows errors! haha.

Be sure to try the stress test.
