Screen freeze, sound repeat log says BSOD

    Probably cause by: hardware.

    Stop error 0x124, usually a hardware error.

    Test your temps with Speedfan. I see you have it installed already, just report the temps.

    Test RAM.

    I'll give that a shot after work.

    But what doesn't make sense is that I can play ANY steam game maxed out 1080p, that includes bioshock, l4d2 etc. with no problems for hours on end. I can also play non-steam; splinter cell conviction fine too.

    It's just the battlefield games in multiplayer (online) mode only causes BSOD. Temperatures from what I've seen never go above anything worrying i.e. 50oC

    Ok thanks for your time & help, I have figured out it is punkbuster and windows 7 not agreeing in some way or another. As only punkbuster usage in game is causing the freezes. I will now look for a fix
