Kernel power error event id 41

hi there all i recently got a new ati sapphire hd5850 graphics card laterly and since i have had the card ive been receiveing kernel power errors and even blue screens
i have a Imicro 750watt power supply and i dont know if this could be causing the problem or not ive received about 2 blue screens and have 5 minidump files

i was certain the power supply had enough juice to run the card and each 12 volt rail has 20 amps though i duno if they are 75 watt cables which could be the problem anyway the problem appears to happen after gaming when i come back to windows the whole system will lock up and the screen goes off ie the lights are on but nobodies home

the weird thing is this happens in a space of days anyways was wondering if someone could read the minidump files for me i dont know how or of any programs that can read minidumps

    cheers in advance

as no one will even post on here i did some of my own research and i downloaded a program called WinDbg this can read the minidump files and tell me what possibly caused the crash i was having

and every single time its one of ati's drivers the driver that causes the crash is the Atikmpag.sys hdmi miniport driver well well it

strange as it was not even connected to that as my monitor is the only thing connected to the card and connects straight to the dvi port

also to mention i set the voltage on all my corsair ram sticks to 1.8

and also found out more interesting things from this forum
http://www.techsupportforum.com/micr...ower-41-a.html this forum told me to change the power state on my mobo bios

in the bios of my mobo i found my acpi state was set to s1 and s3 as i can remember s3 is the power saving state

so changed that to s1 and sweet as two days and no more crashes

however ill keep looking as sometimes this curse comes back every 5 days and then you get kernel power errors again

ATI sort your ****en drivers out

These crashes were all caused by your video driver. I would go to the mfr site and download the uninstall tool to remove all remnants of the current driver. Then install a fresh copy.

i discovered today after uninstalling my graphic card driver and using the ati removal tool aswell as driver sweeper to perge everything ati from my computer afterwards when i had reset my computer i still had the install for 10.3 so i installed that and there we go error messaages about a driver inf not being found the setup must have got courrupted when i downloaded the new driver as atm im on dial up as telecom here cap you to hell and you dont get new usage for 20 days

anyway i still had 10.2 which installed correctly

this blue screen thing is a nightmare if its a problem on atis side i wish they would fix this thing once and for all

if i still get blue screens i might get a new power supply and change from my asus m3n ht deluxe mobo to a asus one with a amd chipset that will support am2+ cpus

but ati one should not have to go buy a brand new mobo with a amd chipset as my current one has a nvidia chipset

this computer is pretty much a girl friend as it did wat all my girlfriends did take your money

i upgraded got a new motherboard and all and today i checked my cpu to wonder if it was the reason i was getting kernel power errors

i take the heatsink off mmmm no thermal compound at all thats right people

i payed for my old computer to be built at a store called pc gear here in dunedin new zealand and they forgot the thermal compound completely

so no wonder i got kernel power errors my cpu was overheating
