    BSOD Issue when rebooting

Lenovo T500 Running Windows 7 32-bit. I initially had issues with my system when it would not boot up. It would stop at the initial boot screen. I couldn't even get into the BIOS. IBM came out and replaced the Mother Board. Now the system blue screens when it is restarted. If I wait 15 minutes it will actually come up but only if I wait after a reboot. Crash analysis is attached to post. Please help!

Please enable driver verifier: Using Driver Verifier to identify issues with Drivers

Was the motherboard IBM gave you the exact same as the one they replaced?

Your dump file's stop error code is 21A.
    STOP 0xC000021A: STATUS_SYSTEM_PROCESS_TERMINATED

Usual causes: User-mode device driver, system service, or third-party application, Mismatched system files
Follow Jonathan's suggestion and enable Driver Verifier.

I found the following obsolete drivers on your system. Windows 7 generally does not like older drivers.

dne2000.sys Fri Mar 28 20:29:38 2008 - Deterministic Network Enhancer belongs to the software Deterministic Network Enhancer Miniport or Cisco Systems VPN Client by Deterministic Networks, Inc (www.deterministicnetworks.com). Update this driver.

Update the software or the driver.

HECI.sys Tue Jun 23 15:49:57 2009 - this appears to bee some sort of a utility program for benchmarking, file management, graphics converter, etc. I cannot track it down exactly. I suggest you update the software or uninstall it.

HSX_CNXT.sys Tue Jun 30 15:37:23 2009 - HSF_CNXT driver belongs to the software SoftK56 Modem Driver by Conexant Systems, Inc (www.conexant.com). See if there is an updated driver available.

Start with the oldest drivers first particularly with those in the red font. Here is a link that might help you with the heci.sys driver - Free what is heci.sys used for Download - what is heci.sys used for Files Caveat: I cannot vouch for the accuracy of this website; I have not used it before.

I got interrupted when I was reviewing the drivers. Here are a few more:

PxHelp20.sys Wed Mar 12 21:57:44 2008 - Sonic CD/DVD driver (used by many different CD/DVD programs) pxHelp20.sys programs Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers and rename PxHelp20.sys to PXHelp20.BAK This will break your CD/DVD program, but can easily be renamed after we've finished.

    rimmptsk.sys Fri Feb 15 04:01:16 2008
    - RICOH MMC Driver or RICOH SD Driver belongs to the software RICOH MMC Driver or RICOH SD/MMC Driver by REDC. This software is obsolete. See if there is an updated version compativle with Win 7.

rimsptsk.sys Sun Jul 29 21:42:56 2007 - RICOH MS Driver belongs to the software Ricoh Memorystick Controller by REDC. This hardware is obsolete. See if you can update it.

rixdptsk.sys Sun Jul 29 22:54:01 2007 - RICOH XD SM Driver belongs to the software Ricoh xD-Picture Card Driver by REDC. This hardware is obsolete. See if you can update it.

smiif32.sys Mon May 12 05:01:06 2008 - SMI Driver for Lenovo system Lenovo Support & downloads - Home page also Lenovo Support & downloads - Driver matrices (Most common files).

    Tppwr32v.sys Thu Jun 12 22:27:57 2008
    - ThinkPad Pwr Mgmt PortLenovo Support & downloads - Home page

You have obsolete hardware and software that may not be Win 7 compatible. If these are not not, you need to upgrade.

I installed/updated most of the drivers but still a no go. Would my issue have anything to do with the fact that I had Vista OS and upgraded to 7 instead of doing a fresh install? Also, shortly after I installed XP mode this happened. Either of those things a factor you think?

Yes, that can have a bad effect. We recommend a clean install rather than an upgrade.
