    Rare weird 64bit Windows 7 Semi-Crash (???)

OK, first of all, I had just searched for Windows Updates on my x64 laptop. It had installed the updates. The next day I took it outside somewhere and turned it on, everything was fine. I was playing Left 4 Dead 2 for a very long time while connected to a power source (Plug adapter). I had turned off the laptop then and turned it on again in around 5 minutes. The Windows Is Starting screen came, and it just stayed there. It was stuck on the glowing Windows logo and would never start.

I tried going into Safe Mode so that I could do something, but booting into Safe Mode just gets me stuck again but at the Drivers loading screen.

Next thing I did was get out my Windows 7 X64 install disc. I put it in and booted from the disk. Then I selected the option "Repair your computer". Nothing happens after that. the only thing i can see is a cursor which i am able to move, and a blue windows 7 background.

I then tried the same thing with my Windows 7 X86 install disc (I have both). Same thing happened.

I made a bootable USB of Windows 7 X64 and ran it from my computer, the same thing happened.

AND: I cant even make a fresh (clean) install because it gets stuck on the setup is starting screen too!!! .

WHAT DO I DO?!? PLEASE HELP ME!

    Sounds like a hardware problem.

Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.

    Test your hard drive: http://www.carrona.org/hddiag.html

Thanks for the quick reply, but unfortunately, I don't have any spare CD's or DVD's

No worries, you can use a USB drive. See this link: Memory Diagnostics

Update! I have just gotten to the repair screen and it is searching for windows installations so hopefully i can repair it now. Which one should i choose when i get to the screen? System Restore or Startup Repair?

Edit: Now theres a grey block ontop of where the searching for windows installations box was.
    cant select anything.

Edit2: Startup Repair is searching for problems!!!

Edit3: Fed up and angry as hell, trying to do a fresh install.

Edit 4: Finally got the Windows Installation started, installing 32-Bit
