comp problems sys 32

Ok so I have a windows 7 pro 64 bit pc and some of my system 32 files got messed up about 2 days ago. After I rebooted the comp, I got an error. So I tried to do a repair with the disk but said it couldn’t find a problem or something. I messed around for a while and it ended up letting me get to the windows logo screen and freeze and reboot. So I pulled out my Linux disk and used it to repartition my hard drive and then installed a new copy of win 7 on the new part. I thought maybe I could take the system files from there and transfer them. When I was transferring the files I did get some errors saying “you need to be an admin” even though I was on an admin account. So after I got the transfer done I rebooted again and this time it gave me a boot option of win 7 pro or recovered. So I pick the recovered and it starts to load up. So I think I got it working not or so I thought until I realized the user account was for the other partition I made and down in the corner a little window pops up and says it’s a temp account and my account couldn’t be found or something. I do a little looking and I find my old account in the C:\Users its on drive D the old partition but the comp only wants to use C the new partition even though I am running the other windows. So I get an idea an try to do a system restore but it says that there are no restore points. Then I try doing a restore on the D: drive which has the partition I need on it and I has them! So I go to perform a restore and it gives me errors “you need permission from the computers administrator to make changes to this file.” this file is level.pak but I will get several of these. Then for folders after those I get asked to give admin permission so I do but I gives off more errors later. So it never changes anything. So I was looking on forums and some one said to use registyboost and it found a LOT of things wrong so I cleaned it up and now it get to where you would log in but its black. I don’t know what else to do I am trying another restore on the D drive as I write this but I’m doing it from the other partition.

Could you try to explain this again. I am lost.

I suspect the fastest (and easiest) way is to wipe everything and do a clean install.

Sorry most of what I was explaining where the steps to where I ended up which was that my main partition that had my profile on it is not showing it in the place where you log in to profiles but it is in D:\Users so I just was wondering if there is any way to get that account back to working I have a second partition using 25gb of my HDD to try to copy files from. That is why its on D:\ not C:\

I hope that helps a little bit I couldn’t remember everything I have tried. Also one other thing I tried deleting the other partition the 25gb one to see if that would do anything and when I tried a reboot it said that windows couldn’t find a bootloader or something I cant remember sorry I should have wrote it all down I didn’t think I would need help im not bad with computers just stumped here.

Also the reason for not wanting to do a fresh install was mainly I don’t want to redo everything I have copied all files now to my external, but I also don’t have any extra win 7 keys I got mine from school I’m in a computer programming course so we got them for free but only one will that mess anything up?

Do a 100% clean install of Win 7.

i was just thinking maybe there is a way to reattach my profile that is still on the partition to be used again so i don't have to wipe everything. If there isn't then i guess i will have to do a clean install. just wanted to avoid that.

thanks for the help if any other ideas come up i work 10-7 tomorrow so i will check after work.
