Pressing restart button could damage MOBO or other Hardware Devices?

Hiya!

For the MOBO (CMOS settings reset), turn off the computer, unplug form the socket, remove the MOBO battery and shorten the two poles of the MOBO battery socket with a screw driver or any other conductor (be careful not to touch anything else) and replace the battery with a new one (just to check if it's not dead). If this don't help, there should be a jumper on the MOBO, dedicated on CMOS reset. Read your MOBO manual. Try ASUS support site.

Second, try to update your BIOS to the latest version available. Again, try ASUS support site.

To be honest, I don't know the limit of hard restarts, but I'm sure it's kind of stressful for the PC.
Try to find the defective component. I'd suggest to replace the video card with another one (even the cheapest you can find) in order to check if the problem persists.

Its not the videocard because i remove it and use the build in videocard which still black screen.

It's only scary the first time! Really, trust me on this one. You'll either fix it or broke it completely. Yeah, that sounds encouraging...

I'm sure the tech has something else to do.

Now, on your main question - I doubt anyone knows for sure. But the hard reset is intended for emergency only. Just to work out a temporary hang.

I used your 'method' on one of my old rigs. No problems till the day I bought a new one.

IMHO, don't reset it this way! Nobody can't guarantee you anything. Just that my old rig was OK doesn't mean yours will be too.

I one thing I'm sure though, pressing the reset button many times WILL damage the computer. It's only a matter of time... It can blow to pieces (no, not literally) in two days or after twenty years.

I know I'm not of much help, I just think it's the right way of thinking in this case. And one more thing, I'm cutting the 'lectures' since I think it's a bit annoying...

I think hard disk will always run if not configure to turn off on AFK or IDLE? forgot the word for it.

Lets make and example playing games which he didnt close the games then PRESS THE RESET BUTTON? is it safe?

So what really happens on my desktop computer?
