Be sure to use the uninstall tool, to get it all.

Neat! I was just about to do a regular uninstall and I saw your post!

BTW, can we make a sticky thread with the most notorious BSoD contributors?

There are no real regulars, but if you have netio.sys, as a problem, and have Zone Alarm installed, 99% chance we found the cause of the BSOD. Maybe, another is SPTD, as a driver, but that one is not as reliable as netio.sys in conjunction with Zone Alarm.

    DARNIT!!!

I and some of the other family members need the lappy very much, so it's quite impossible so far to try anything...

    Anyway, be patient!

Will post anything when it pops up!

You may not need another solution. If you had a possible cause of netio, and do indeed have zone alarm, uninstallation should solve the problem.

Hope so! I'm afraid it might be something HW-related. And the 'zone' where I currently reside is notorious of their warranty service... I'm about to faint just when I start thinking of it. Blah!

BTW, are you aware of ZA issues on wired LAN machines? I always had ZA, but this BSODs are quite new for me.
