Random BSOD while gaming MW2

Hey!

I've got a problem getting BSOD while playing Modern Warfare 2: Multiplayer.

Since the game was patched last week (i also got the DLC pack), i'm getting bsod randomly when starting a MP game. The machine dumps the physical memory, and then freeze (and heat up like crazy if not powered off!)
I did a total reinstall to try helping the problem, but it occured again today. My computer is a MacBook Pro, running Windows 7 Pro (Bootcamp and all latest updates.)

This one was called by keymagic.exe. Keymagic is usually viral. I suggest you run a virus scan and if it isnt a virus I would remove it

Hmm, Thats interesting.

The game is completely geniue, and so are Windows and All other programs on the machine! I'll check up on that program.

But it's exactly the same bsod as the ones i got before i did the reinstall.

It all started after the latest patch. It happens in both gamemodes, but no idea how frequent in SP, as i rarely plays that.

if the BSOD started after the last patch then you should check on the MW forums as well, see if anyone else is having this problem. But like I said, it might just be your system isn't strong enough to play it. Same situation was happening to me on my moms system, I kept getting the BSOD but not on my brothers system which had a bigger HDD and more memory. Also, check your processor or graphics card. Odd i know, but sometimes if you get to play online its sending to much info for your processor and graphic card to keep up with. Remember the recommended specs aren't just there for looks. The bare minum may be what you have to have to run the game, but they don't mean that it wont still fux your system over.

And yeah definately check into that keymagic. AND one more thing, I looked up the keymagic.sys file and found something intresting... if you are getting this error: Stop Error 0x0A

then Stop Error 0x0A can be due to conflicts between third party keyboards and especially tasking quickly between networking.<-- found that on TechSpot board. Dude had the same problem, but only with a different game.

Hi Friend,

Have you tried adding the folder of the game you are playing to your anti-virus's exception? Mine was hanging because of my anti-virus all along. I thought it was my video card. Most games are treated as trojan or anti-virus by Anti-Viruses such as avast. So try adding it in the exception.
