Windows weird crash

Hi guys,

I've experienced yesterday a strange situation. After a computer restart, windows starts normally.. until the login part. Then, I only have a windows explorer window and nothing else.. no desktop, no start button, no taskbar, nothing. I can still acces the task manager, the internet, I can see movies.. but when I close the explorer window I have only a black screen. Same situtation occurs in safe mode / with another user account.

BTW.. System restore is disabled.

Any ideas, please?

Weird folder icons in taskbar after explorer crash.
I was editing some id3 tags in DBPowerAmp, and explorer crashed. Random, but, ok. It took a two or three minutes for explorer to recover, and when it did, it was like the display driver had failed, as everything was HUGE upon recovery. Ok, so, nothing a reboot won't fix, right? Humm, MOSTLY. ...

OK, first of all, I had just searched for Windows Updates on my x64 laptop. It had installed the updates. The next day I took it outside somewhere and turned it on, everything was fine. HELP: Weird problems after crash, need advice
Hi all, I have Windows 7 Professional x86 running on a Dell E1505 laptop. Last night it froze up and the only way to restore was to do a hard reset. Disk scan started automatically on reboot and fixed some things. Once booted I noticed some strange things: - some auto-start programs pop...
