Problem with W7 and atipcie.sys

Hey guys,

first of all I'm from Germany so sorry for some inapropriate phrases in advance

Second of all: Thank you for your help. You may don't know, but this thread helped me alot to fix one computer of mine. It works fine now but I'm afraid this problem might occure again in several weeks and maybe I'm not around to fix it by then (because it's a family members' computer and he doesn't know that much about Windows and how to fix problems via the Windows CD). However I would like to ask you for looking on my dump files I uploaded below this post. Maybe you can tell me how to fix the cause of this error. This atipcie.sys-error occured about two times before this time (or at least I think it was this error) and it would be nice to got a Windows that works without any blue screens, it would save me a lot of time and telephone conferences

Your latest .dmp file shows HpqKbFilter ( HP Quick Launch Buttons HpqKbFiltr Keyboard Filter driver ) as the reason of your crash.. go to HPs' support site and download the latest software for your quick launch buttons... HP® - Laptops, Desktop, Printers, Servers, and more

Try removing any CD virtualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%. They use a driver, found in your dmp, sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs. Use this SPTD uninstaller when you're done: DuplexSecure - Downloads

You are also getting a 0x124 stop error, A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint. Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress. Thanks a lot for your reply on my question. I'm going to work through your points and will give you some feedback after.

EDIT1:
Ok, I'll try to explain what I have done.

HP Driver:
The driver could be the cause, because I've installed it just one week ago. Therefore it's also the latest version. Maybe I should remove it completely?

SPTD:
Daemon was installed once. It is already removed and the uninstaller you recommended me says that there was no driver called sptd.

To your last point:
I'm working through the thread. Because I'm no native english speaker it will take a bit longer.

My bad on the sptd driver... go ahead and uninstall the HP Quick Launch Buttons software as it was blamed specifically as the main reason for the crash...

Ok, done. Just hope that it will work. I also took care of the last point and reinstalled the hardware drivers, especially the one of my graphic device as "ati" in "atipcie" seems to be a hidden hint

If there are any problems again I will post it in this thread.
