    Windows 7 Search Freezing

Hi has anyone any suggestions on the fault i Have . I am running windows 7 32bit . Using bpmstudio . I often use the windows search feature to search for music files .
Now quite often but not always my advent 9115 will freeze while searching an external hardrive . The laptop isnt used on line so isnt infected with spyware or Trojans .
I have to hold the power button down when it freezes to shut down . Once restarted and back on the desktop there is no message to say it has recovered from any kind of error .

I have no other freezing issue with this machine apart from when searching the same external hardrive .

Anyone with any ideas PLease help . Thanks

Please enable Windows Update. It's reported as disabled in the perfmon report. Then visit Windows Update and get the rest of the updates for your system (you only have 7 updates, and there should be more than 40).

There are problems with Windows throughout your Event Viewer log files. Have you scanned for viruses? Have you run SFC.EXE /SCANNOW from an elevated command prompt?

Please use the search function to generate a freeze and note the time on the system clock that it occurs.
Then generate the report again. Let us know the time on the system clock so we can search the Event Viewer entries for errors around that time.
