    Computer Overheating Randomly

Today when I got on my computer it crashed a little bit after i turned it on, i figure due to overheating. When i finally made it to the desktop, i checked the temperature and it is running at a steady 90-92 C. Lately my computer seems to either work perfect at around 70 C or run very hot at 90+. Yesterday it overheated and shut off like this morning, then i turned it back on and it started running cooler and I could play Fallen Earth perfectly. But like I said, sometimes it will run hot and crash whether I am on a game or not, usually when I am running Fallen Earth. A lot of people say to blow out the inside of the computer with compressed air, which i have already done, but it still runs just as hot. I would really like to know why my computer randomly runs cool or hot.

I was just on my desktop and was watching the ATI Catalyst Control Center which shows temperature, activity, and fan speed. The temperature was at 90 then slowly dropped to 70 and is now back at 90. I had nothing running at all.
