BSoD on first Startup!!
Hey, recently started building a new PC and i'm running into weirdest combo of crashes ever..Installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit with no problems. The problem I'm having is if my pc has been turned off for roughly 4 hours, it boots up and gets to the Desktop then I get a BSoD and it restarts... On first bootup I always get a message from CCC "Catalyst Control Centre has stopped Working".. I've tried different known working version of CCC and still same issue
Now the weird thing is that if I my system reboots after this it runs fine... for days even without any errors. I'm unable to replicate this error immediately, only way is to turn system off and leave it off for 4hours~. I've tried turning off the system, removing the power cable and discharging the power left in system. However the problem doesn't happen again unless I leave the pc off for ~4hrs.
System Specs:
AMD Phenom II x4 955BE
Crosshair IV Formula 890FX
2x2gb Ripjaws 1333Mhz
ATI Radeon HD 4750
2x 500GB Seagate HDDs
Coolermaster GX 750W PSU
Coolermaster HAF X Case
Everything is brand new out of the box except the GPU.. I've not bothered to get a new one since I can't even get the system to run stable and it's driving me insane!!!!
I've run memtest on ram for 2days straight and 0 errors.
I've reinstalled OS probably around 3-4 times and updated all drivers.
Changed the PSU to an old 550Watt Coolermaster and same problem
Updated BIOS of MOBO.
I know for a fact that the GPU, PSU, HDDs and CPU are working 100% since I swapped the MOBO and RAM to an older MOBO and RAM(DDR2) and then I have absolutely no problems.
When I took the RAM and MOBO back to retailer they told me it's a Driver/Software related issue yet the bluescreen errors I'm getting are:
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
CACHE_MANAGER
MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
So yeah I'm quite lost on what to do next... I have a fair bit of background with PCs but this puzzles me and several other people.
Any help would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks
