Windows stuck at "Welcome" screen

    hold on!

    This:

    Built-in Administrator - Enable from WinRE

    worked!!

    "preparing your desktop" for the actual admin user now.

    Fingers crossed!!

    Sure. The main oissue I was having was that I could not get the admin account to appear or any other accounts I created at the recovery command prompt.

    I used Method 1 on this page:

    Built-in Administrator - Enable from WinRE

    which successfully added the admin account to the login screen. This allowed me to create a new user profile and copy the contents of the old one across to it.
