okay..? entire PC froze ok so basically my PC just froze with no notification of anything not responding, this also happened last week like everything just stops except the mouse then once i click the mouse pointer just stops moving, the only way i can continue what i was doing is to hold the power button down to shut the entire PC down and then turn it back up. | My System Specs |

Sounds like a memory problem. Right click on the taskbar and bring up the task manager. If you cannot understand it, give us a screen shot of performance and process. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell XPS 420 OS Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, clean install, upgrade disc CPU Intel Core2 processsor Q8200(2.33Ghz 1333FSB) Quad Core Tech Motherboard Dell Memory 6 gb Graphics Card ATI Radeon 256MB HD3650 Sound Card Intergrated 7.1 Channel Audio Monitor(s) Displays Dell SP2009W 20" Keyboard Dell USB Keyboard Mouse Dell Premium Optical USB Cooling Fan Hard Drives 640 GB Serial ATA Hard drive Internet Speed DSL 2.85 |

You did not show process from all users, but everything that I saw looks ok. Lets see if its a program that is installed. Do a boot in safe mode and tell me what happens.
